1002: Intensive Proguguese for Beginners - Trip to Macau

As part of course 1002 INTENSIVE PORTUGUESE FOR BEGINNERS, students joined a TRIP TO MACAU this July! Transportation (a set of round-trip jetfoil tickets) was sponsored by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau (SJM) and participants were treated to a lunch of Portuguese delicacies in restaurant “O Manel”, in Taipa Island, by the Consul-General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong, Manuel Carvalho. The morning was spent visiting old Macau while the afternoon was dedicated to Taipa village and the beautiful Avenida da Praia with its old Portuguese houses. Before returning to Hong Kong participants did a little shopping and saw Portuguese folk dances being performed in the starlit open-air amphiteatre of Avenida da Praia. Altogether a great day! Um dia fantástico!
